Assalamualaikum..

Today, I want to share Pavlova simple recipe.

Ingredients:
4 egg whites
1 cup castor sugar
1 tspn lemon juice/ vinegar
2 tspns cornflour (cornstarch)

METHOD

1) Beat egg whites until soft peaks form in a bowl using electric mixer. I am using egg beater because I don't have electric mixer :)

2) Add sugar, sifted cornflour and lemon juice and beat until until the mixture is stiff and glossy

3)  a)Cover baking tray with baking paper or aluminium foil  OR
b)Grease baking tray and pour cornflour ( a lot, as I did )

4) Pile mixture onto tray/baking paper/al foil and leaving the center a bit hollow. I didn't manage to make a center hollowed anyway..hehe

5) Bake in at 130'C at 1 1/2 hour

6) Turn off the oven and leave pavlova to cool in oven with door ajar

7) Decorate pavlova with whipped cream or lemon filling as I did and fresh fruits :)

As for my first time home made Pavlova, I can say the result is very satisfying. Thanks to the recipe I googled before, I forgot the URL btw. The only thing is I should have put vanilla essence to reduce the eggy smell. Try yours and share with me your Pavlova :)

Yati & Firdaus (Pet) reception

Assalamualaikum..

Last Saturday (2nd June 2012), I've attended Yati and Pet's reception on Yati's side at Sg Udang, Melaka. Alhamdulillah, their day have come and FYI, they have been together since secondary school. We were in a same company 2 years ago before I resigned. That is how we met each other. Knowing them, I must admit that I didn't even know they are dating each other at the first place until one of my colleague (former colleague) told me. They were unlike any other lovebirds and keep their relationship light and easy, for my definition. Hehe..

Well, let pictures do the talking..

\

Picture of them with Yati's parents. (Idea!)

As Mimie, Shah and I arrived, they were just take place for 'makan beradap'

The dais. How lovely the combination of red and white :)

Look at the picture in a frame, Yati's parents on their wedding reception. Many yearssss back!!! so sweet and a touch of sentimental.

The right hand side of the dais. I really love the bird cage :)

onto the left hand side. Bird cage :)

The pengantin and Mimie.

Selamat Pengantin Baru Yati and Pet. Hope your marriage will be blessed with happiness and prosperity and also will be granted with many children of yours. InsyaAllah. :)
